Our SRO here at Roosevelt is Officer Jeremy DeMello.

Officer DeMello is a specially trained officer,  called a School Resource Officer (SRO). It is his role to help enhance school security and provide law enforcement education and counseling. Our SRO acts as a resource to teachers, parents, and students by providing direction or advice on a variety of topics.

He brings a full service, personalized protection to our school.  With a full-time presence, Officer DeMello is an easily accessible and approachable resource for students.  Our SRO’s duties extend far beyond the school day as Officer DeMello participates in faculty meetings, projects, student social functions, school events and sporting events. Officer DeMello runs two after school clubs as well: the Game Club, where he teaches students to play Dungeons & Dragons and Magic Gathers; he also runs the Jr Police Academy, where he mentors our students, and shows them what skills are necessary for becoming a police officer. Our SRO’s presence demonstrates his commitment to the students of Roosevelt Middle School.
